An unconventional Christmas-themed dessert featuring store-bought croissant dough rolled in sugar, pressed into a waffle maker for a crispy exterior and soft interior, then topped with a delicate matcha cream and fresh strawberries.
1. Roll out your croissants.
2. Roll them generously in sugar (brown or white).
3. Place onto a waffle maker and press. There's no need to oil the waffle maker because the croissant will release a lot of butter on its own.
4. Froth or mix the matcha cream ingredients (heavy whipping cream, matcha, and sugar) until stiff peaks form.
5. Slice strawberries three-quarters of the way up and press diagonally to create a flayed look.
6. Assemble the croffles with matcha cream and sliced strawberries, then serve!
